WA 88-90 "Bottled two week prior to my visit, the 2016 Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru les Charmes had been hit by the frost. The nose felt rather withdrawn despite vigorous coaxing, earthy and sultry with light mushroom scents. The palate is medium-bodied with fine grain, quite supple tannin, rather foursquare for a Chambolle-Musigny but with adequate freshness on the finish. Not bad, but the 2015 was far superior.
