WHAT IS A WINE BROKER?

A wine broker specializes in buying, selling and trading fine wines for investors, restaurants and fine wine collectors. Selling your wine collection can be quite an emotional task. You've collected fine wine, perhaps for decades, and now you've arrived at a point where it makes more financial sense to sell your collection than to consume it. Estate Wine Brokers is a fine wine brokerage firm. Estate Wine Brokers doesn't work like a traditional wine broker. We are interested in brokering or purchasing your properly cellared fine wine, and will handle the door-to-door logistics of every transaction.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A WINE BROKER VS A WINE AUCTION?

Typically it will take you 3 months to sell your wine at a wine auction. With a wine auction, you will receive a Low/Mid/High estimate with a reserve price. Wine auctions are speculative and are subject to market up-swing and down-swing. Additionally with a wine auction, you may receive free shipping from your cellar to the auction house if the collection is large enough, but if the wine doesn't sell then you'll be charged storage and return shipping fees that are generally fairly high.
