Other World Whisk(e)y

Canada: Most Canadian spirits are rye-based (though there’s no actual legal requirement to do so) and blended, and all must be aged at least 3 years. Glenora distillers on the Cape Breton Island of Nova Scotia produce whiskey in the style of Scotch.

Japan: The Japanese are fervent admirers of Scotch, and their most famous distillery is Suntory (founded in 1923), which produces single malt and blended styles. The Japanese famously prefer lighter, cleaner styles of Whisky which are often blended with soda water and served on the rocks in a highball glass.
