Uncompromising Style: Dunn's Howell Mountain Cabernet

Since 1979, Randy Dunn has been one of the most iconoclastic winemakers in Napa Valley, producing Cabernets with formidable tannins and subdued alcohol levels that showcase the unique terroir of Howell Mountain. Now joined at the winery by his son Mike, Dunn's Cabernets have increased in approachability in recent years, but they retain the characteristic toughness that allows them to endure in the cellar for 20 years or more. We are proud to offer the current release of Dunn's flagship Howell Mountain Cabernet:

Dunn Cabernet Howell Mountain 2013 - $149

95-97 Points Robert Parker "The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain boasts an opaque color, abundant notes of blackberries, spring flowers and blueberries, fabulous richness and a distinctive, singular smell of pen ink. With great intensity, formidable body, sweet tannin and a long finish, it should drink well for 25+ years."

Although they stand at odds with a majority of Napa's most prestigious wines, Dunn's classically-styled Cabernets have inspired a cult following of their own and routinely sell out on release. Act now to acquire this ageworthy wine in time for the holiday gifting season.
