The estate of Giuseppe Quintarelli is the unrivaled benchmark of the Veneto, with a lineup that includes a near-mythical Amarone along with the cult wine Alzero. Estate Wine Brokers is proud to present a selection of wines direct from a single-owner cellar that showcase the artistry and depth of Quintarelli’s range:

Giuseppe Quintarelli Valpolicella Classico Superiore 2007 750ml - $89
From the Importer "There isn’t much to add to the words Quintarelli Valpolicella Superiore other than perhaps a few notes about the vintage. This is very serious stuff. In comparing it to recent vintages, it is 2006-ish but more closed, regal, poised, and spiced; it seems a lot younger than the 2006 did upon release. Compared to 2005, there is more stuffing here. It has more finesse than the bulky, concentrated 2004. Long, fine, and compact, it has everything to go the distance. In short, it challenges 2003 for the vintage of the decade."

Giuseppe Quintarelli "Rosso del Bepi" Veneto IGT 2005 750ml - $165
95 Points Wine Advocate
"The 2005 Rosso del Bepi is made with the same blend of grapes found in the Valpolicella Superiore. Only in the case of this wine, the entire mass of fruit sees a four-month appassimento cycle. The wine is aged in large oak casks for eight years. A severe hail storm in 2005 reduced yields. The fruit was good in that vintage, but not good enough to become Amarone. All that potential got locked into this wine instead. Despite its age, the Rosso del Bepi offers surprising freshness and crispness with delineated tones of dried cherry and pressed rose. This wine has more decades of cellar aging locked within. (ML)" (05/2017)

Giuseppe Quintarelli Amarone della Valpolicella Classico 2006 750ml - $299
94 Points Wine Spectator "Beautifully balanced, this elegant red features a skein of aromatic spice unraveling through the cherry compote, smoky espresso, fig cake and loamy earth flavors, layered with silky tannins in a harmonious frame. The mouthwatering finish echoes notes of brambly berry and forest floor. Drink now through 2030. 110 cases imported. (AN)" (10/2016)

Giuseppe Quintarelli Amarone Della Valpolicella Classico Riserva 2003 750ml - $479
93 Points Vinous "Kirsch, cloves, leather and licorice are some of the many notes that emerge from Quintarelli’s 2003 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Riserva. Dark, powerful and brooding, the Riserva is a bit less marked by the year than the straight bottling. Here it is the wine’s explosive, full-bodied finish that stands out most. This is a fascinating wine from Quintarelli. I am a bit surprised to see a Riserva in 2003, but it works, and beautifully. When they are on, these wines are utterly hypnotizing, as is the case here. Giuseppe Quintarelli "Alzero" Cabernet IGT 2006 750ml - $329
97 Points Vinous
“The 2006 Alzero is wonderfully alive and vibrant in the glass, with beams of energy that run through its deep frame. Exotic and alluring, the 2006 simply has it all. There is plenty of richness in the black cherry, licorice, smoke, tobacco, espresso and mocha flavors, but 2006 also has an element of restraint that balances some of its more overt leanings. All the elements fall into place effortlessly. When Alzero is on, there is simply nothing else like it.”
