2017 Releases from Sea Smoke

Few producers generate as much excitement among Pinot Noir enthusiasts as Sea Smoke. Situated in the Sta. Rita Hills appellation of Santa Barbara County, Sea Smoke produces two top bottlings of Pinot Noir that represent distinct blocks of their 100-acre estate vineyard. A unique combination of sun exposure, cooling maritime fog ("sea smoke"), clay soils, and meticulous vineyard management results in an extended growing season that yields lush, elegant expressions of the grape. We are pleased to present a limited offering of these highly coveted yet affordably priced wines:

Sea Smoke Southing Pinot Noir Sta. Rita Hills 2017 750ml - $75
From the winery: "Each year, our goal for Southing is to create the ideal marriage of complexity and elegance. The ever-changing nose of the 2017 Southing exhibits baked strawberry, floral scents of rose and violet; and subtle spices. The fine tannins and minerality are enhanced by our estate vineyard’s characteristic cool climate acidity."

Sea Smoke Ten Pinot Noir Sta. Rita Hills 2017 750ml - $85
From the winery: "A brooding and intense wine. The aromas begin with notes of lavender and blackberries, then a myriad of savory spices, and a hint of white sage. Firm, mature tannins—evidence of Ten’s ageability—are followed by a long, velvety finish."

The Sea Smoke lineup is always a hot ticket - a majority of the wine is sold direct-to-consumer via their mailing list - and quantities are extremely limited. Place your order now to be among the first to acquire these new releases.
