2013 Inglenook Rubicon at Estate Wine Brokers

In 1975, filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola purchased the historic Inglenook property in Rutherford, intent on restoring the estate’s legacy of creating world-class wines equal to those that founder Gustave Niebaum and his grandnephew John Daniel Jr. made for decades. Rubicon, the estate’s top bottling since 1978, is produced from a selection of the finest estate-grown fruit including the historic Gustave Niebaum Cabernet Sauvignon plot which was originally planted in the 1880s. Estate Wine Brokers is proud to present the new release of Inglenook Rubicon in standard bottles and magnums at the lowest approved MSRPs in the country:

Inglenook Rubicon Cabernet Sauvignon Rutherford 2013 750ml - $159 each
Inglenook Rubicon Cabernet Sauvignon Rutherford 2013 1500ml - $379 each

97 Points Vinous "The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Rubicon emerges from the back part of the property, which lies on the foothills of the Mayacamas Mountains. Here the wines are dense, powerful and structured. That is exactly what comes through in the 2013. Layers of dark fruit built into a crescendo of aromas, flavors and textures laced with mocha, espresso, gravel and dark spice overtones. The new oak that was so prominent at the outset has begun to integrate and in so doing is allowing the fruit to come through to a greater degree than in the past. This is a tremendous showing for the 2013 Rubicon. (AG)" (12/2016)

Crafted by the former managing director of Château Margaux, the 2013 Rubicon displays a level of finesse and restraint rarely seen in Napa Cabernet, and will continue to develop beautifully over the next decade.
