WA 93-95 "The 2015 Nuits Saint-Georges 1er Cru Aux Boudots was matured in 50% new oak. Like the Aux Cras this vintage, it comes across as more extrovert and opulent than its Vosne-based counterparts, with billowing black cherries, Griottes, orange blossom and crushed violet aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red berry fruit, tangible salinity, especially towards the finish that has a touch of oyster shell coming through. I like the energy here, the frisson that keeps you coming back for more. This is an outstanding Boudots from Maxime Chuerlin. (NM)" (12/2016)
