WA 88-90 "The 2014 Gevrey Chambertin Petite-Chapelle contains less whole bunch than other cuvées (35% to 40%) and is matured entirely in new wood. I have to say that the new oak dominates the aromatics at the moment, and it is difficult to get through that. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin. Here, the oak is more integrated and allows succulent cassis and kirsch notes to develop on the lightly peppered, weighty finish. Quite intense, it will need several years in bottle. (NM)" (12/2015)
